Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a hands-on therapy that treats the body as a whole, relieving pain and improving movement through gentle manual techniques. Hazel uses traditional structural and cranial osteopathy techniques, coupled with soft tissue massage and exercise to tailor treatments to you.

Mummy MOT

A Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal check-up for women following both vaginal and caesarean deliveries. It will assess how your posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles are recovering after birth.

Why I Became an Osteopath

Before training as an osteopath, I managed a Majestic wine store, spending long hours on my feet and lifting heavy boxes. Over time, the physical strain led to persistent pain, but osteopathy changed everything—it helped me move comfortably again and gave me a new appreciation for how the body heals. Inspired by my own recovery, I decided to retrain, completing a year of intensive science study followed by a five-year Master’s in Osteopathy. I qualified in 2013 and still love what I do!

Since having my children, I’ve developed a special interest in women’s health and pelvic health, which led me to complete a two-year postgraduate diploma in the Osteopathic Approach to Women’s Health with the Molinari Institute of Health (MIH) in London. Led by Professor Renzo Molinari, a globally respected expert in the field, this specialist training deepened my understanding of how osteopathy can support women through every stage of life, from pregnancy to postnatal recovery and beyond. I had the privilege of learning from leading osteopaths, gynaecologists, obstetricians and midwives.

I am also a certified Mummy MOT Practitioner and currently training in Hypopressives, a breathing and postural technique that strengthens the core and pelvic floor—particularly beneficial for postnatal recovery, pelvic organ prolapse prevention, and posture improvement. Additionally, I am training to teach matwork clinical Pilates and plan to offer 1-1 and small group sessions later this year to further support my patients’ rehabilitation and movement goals.

How I Work

I take a holistic, whole-body approach to osteopathy, looking beyond symptoms to identify the root cause of discomfort. My treatments combine gentle joint articulation, soft tissue techniques, and tailored rehabilitation exercises to restore movement, relieve tension, and support long-term recovery.

I work with a diverse range of patients, but I have a particular passion for supporting women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and pelvic health concerns. My goal is to help you move freely, feel stronger, and get back to the activities you love—whether that’s work, exercise, or simply enjoying daily life without pain.

More About Me

Outside the clinic, I’m a busy mum of two energetic boys, but I still find time for the things that make me happy—like swimming in the sea whenever I get the chance and re-learning the piano (though my kids insist I skip the singing part!). My ringtone has alternated between Blister in the Sun and Welcome to the Jungle for the last 20 years, which sums up my love for rock—Metallica will always be my favourite band. I’m convinced I can beat my husband at an arm wrestle and keep trying, despite a 100% losing streak. If it were up to me, poached eggs on toast would be dinner every night, but unfortunately, my kids disagree. I may be terrible at dancing, but that doesn’t stop me from showing up to class every week—and I balance it all out with strength training, because one day, I will win that arm wrestle!
